# Studywise

> Studywise is an AI student planner for iPhone that schedules homework around school, activities, and focus windows. Add tasks by voice or manually; the app builds a realistic calendar with revision blocks for tests, Remind Me items, and Pomodoro-style focus sessions.

Studywise (App Store name: Studywise: AI Student Planner) helps teens stay on top of homework without overloading the day. Users set school hours and homework windows, then add work by voice (mic) or manually (+). The scheduler places study blocks that avoid school and recurring activities, and can prefer peak-energy windows for harder work.

## How it works

- **Voice commands:** Tap the mic and say one or several items (up to 10). Examples: "Math 20 minutes due Friday", "Remind me to pack my calculator Monday", "Biology test Friday". Homework is auto-scheduled; reminders get a time.
- **Manual add:** Tap + and enter subject, duration, and due date. The same scheduling engine runs.
- **Cognitive load:** Phrases like easy/quick/light vs hard/tough/deep focus steer how demanding a task is treated. Harder work is more likely to land in peak-energy windows when those are set.
- **Duration:** If the user says how long something will take (e.g. 45 minutes), that value is used for scheduling. Otherwise subject defaults apply.
- **What the scheduler respects:** School day (no homework during school; short decompression after school), homework windows (Profile → Energy & Schedule), recurring activities (sports, clubs), optional peak focus windows.
- **Scheduling logic:** Searches from today through the due date; prefers earlier days over cramming on the due date; on weekday due dates only uses slots before school. When the calendar is tight, it may bump a less urgent existing task to make room.
- **Long homework:** Tasks longer than 60 minutes are split into ~30-minute sessions (e.g. "Part 1 of 3") across homework windows, with about 5 minutes between consecutive blocks.
- **Tests and quizzes:** Saying "test" or "quiz" with a due date creates one revision block per day before the exam (up to 5 days for tests, 3 for quizzes).
- **Remind Me:** Short to-dos that appear on the schedule without taking full study blocks. Date-only reminders join daily rhythm notifications; timed reminders get an alert about 30 minutes before.
- **Reschedule:** Long-press a task on Schedule, or use Reschedule in Edit Task. Overdue items can be catch-up rescheduled in one go.

## Profile settings that matter

- **Subjects:** Added automatically as homework is created; each has a default duration used when voice/manual add does not specify length.
- **School Day:** School start/end and home timezone.
- **Recurring Activities:** Commitments the scheduler steers homework around.
- **Energy & Schedule:** Weekday/weekend homework windows and optional peak-energy slots.
- **Account:** Sign out or permanently delete account and associated data.
