1. Introduction

Studywise ("we", "our", "us") provides intelligent scheduling tools for students. We are committed to a "Zero-Retention" approach for your AI data to ensure the highest level of privacy and safety.

2. Data We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide our service:

• Account Information: Your email address and name provided via Apple or Google Sign-In.
• Schedule Data: The homework tasks, reminders, extracurriculars, subject names, and "Peak Energy" preferences you create.
• Google Classroom (optional, Studywise Plus): If you connect Classroom, we store a refresh token for that Google account on our servers, plus the class names you choose, assignment titles, due dates, a shortened plain-text description, a link back to Classroom, and whether the work is turned in. We do not copy assignment files, classmate lists, or grades. Disconnecting in Profile revokes that token. Deleting your account removes it as well. Homework already imported stays on your schedule unless you choose to remove it when you disconnect.
• Technical Data: Basic logs required to sync your schedule and ensure app stability.

3. AI Processing (Google Gemini)

Studywise uses Google Gemini (Enterprise Tier) to turn your voice into scheduled tasks.

Pass-Through Processing: Your voice transcriptions are sent to Google in real-time to extract scheduling details. Studywise does not store these transcriptions after the task is created.

Changing Items by Voice: When you ask by voice to change, complete, or delete something you have already added, we also send a short list of your current tasks, reminders, and extracurriculars (weekly activities and one-time events) so the AI can work out which one you mean. That list is limited to the most relevant items and contains only: for homework, the title, subject, due date, scheduled time, and planned duration; for reminders, the title, date, and time if you set one; for extracurriculars, the name, the weekdays it repeats or the date of a one-time event, and start and end times. Your account details are never included, and your items' database identifiers are never sent to Google — the AI only ever sees temporary shorthand labels, and Studywise matches those back to your data on our own servers.

No AI Training: We use a paid enterprise service. Google contractually agrees NOT to use your data to train their AI models.

Safety Monitoring: Google may temporarily retain data for up to 55 days solely for safety and abuse monitoring, after which it is purged.

Scheduling imported homework: When Classroom assignments are placed on your plan, we send the assignment title, class name, duration, and due date to the same scheduling service. We do not send the assignment description or attached files.

4. Protections for Teens (Ages 13-16)

Studywise is for users aged 13 and older. For users aged 13–16, we automatically apply high-privacy default settings. We do not engage in behavioral tracking, data sales, or targeted advertising.

5. Data Deletion

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time within the app by going to Profile > Settings > Delete Account. This action is permanent and purges your data from our servers (Supabase) immediately.
